Using white charcoal and an chalkboard – like prepped surface, in this workshop we will use a different approach, drawing the light rather than the shadow, obtaining a range of beautiful luminous grays. Bring your own image from which we will study high contrast elements like: human figure, birds, landscapes, botanical elements, etc., using white charcoal on wood. The wood panels are prepared with layers of plaster and acrylic. Please don’t forget to bring your own imagery to draw from as mentioned above – if you do not have images to work from, images will be available at the workshop.
