The wood panel (black finish) measures 12.75″ x 12.75″.

Person in Black – graphite drawing

“Person in Black” is an original graphite drawing: water soluble graphite, plaster, acrylic on wood panel, measuring 24″x24″ and about 1″ deep.
The first version of this artwork is a digital drawing, available in the gallery shop as a giclee print. I did the graphite drawing after the digital drawing, a bit backwards this time.
The concept and inspiration: from the christian Beatitudes to Johnny Cash’s “Men in Black”, the artwork speaks of humbleness and compassion.

Ephesians 2: 8-9

A diptych: graphite drawing, acrylic on plaster and wood panel, one panel, depicting the wing, measuring 12″x12″ and 1″ deep and the smaller panel measuring 6″x6″. Inspired from a beautiful and meaningful Bible passage:Ephesians 2:8-9 that reads:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

The same text is used on the second panel.
