A mixed media artwork: graphite, acrylic, plaster on canvas, measures 18″x 24″. The artwork features a bird in flight on a plaster textured surface in a wabi-sabi style. Under the sparrow the drawn text reads:
“Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the Word and my soul shall be healed” – it represents a call towards divine healing and also a sense of healthy unworthiness in acceptance of the divine love. This response in the Roman Missal calls to mind the words that were spoken by the Roman centurion to Jesus when he begged the Lord to heal his sick servant in Matthew 8.
